Cholai or Amaranth has long been considered a superfood because of its high nutrition content. Sprouting only makes this nutrition bio available and easier to digest. High fibre, high in protein, rich in magnesium, manganese and iron; with spouting and breaking down of phytic acids, all these minerals become easier to absorb for the body.

Sprouting also helps increase the subtle flavour making it the perfect addition to your bread flour, parathas or gluten free cookies. Its latent sweetness allows one to decrease added sugar in cookies by as much as 40 percent!

We are based out of mountainous Himalayas (close to 7,000 feet) in Uttarakhand where connectivity and logistics are a challenge. Our orders are sent out via Speed Post or courier and should reach in about 7 days after you place your order.

Our products are not eligible for returns. They are created by weavers or knitters by hand, or procured from small and marginal farmers.
However, in the event of your receiving a damaged product, please email a photograph of the said product to us (at info@kgu.org.in) within 48 hours of receiving your order.
